Pierre Gobert has followed the Belgian gambling market since 2020 and tests every operator personally with a preference for land casinos. Lives and works in Namur.

Our income comes from affiliate commissions; the verdict stays the same, commission or not. The black list is named even when it costs us.

How we test. we walk through registration ourselves, deposit via Bancontact, pull the money out and time the whole route. Every operator goes past the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and go over the small print word by word.

Player protection in numbers

The Belgian legislator approaches player protection more strictly than most of its neighbours and it is built that way on purpose. Each site automatically applies a €200 weekly ceiling.

The Gaming Commission keeps one central exclusion register in EPIS: the block covers every licence holder in the country. Registering costs nothing. Casino, gaming hall and sports betting are 21-and-over since 1 September 2024; 18 still applies at the National Lottery alone. Age is verified at registration.
